One of the upstairs bedrooms had a huge wall mural featuring Thomas the Tank Engine. It also had, sadly, bits of multi-colored paint on the wood trim. When the carpet came up, we also found droplets of white paint here and there on the floors. Fortunately, those are few, and will go away when we have the floor refinished. Also fortunately, most of the floors upstairs were in quite good shape, and only one was so bad as to need immediate refinishing before we moved in.
It's now our guest room, complete with lots of books and a fold-out futon. If you come visit soon, here's where you'll be sleeping...
